Platform methods. Real sourced data only — no synthetic or estimated values in sourced columns; derived figures carry provenance flags. Pipelines fail loudly rather than emitting fake data. All figures are point in time and reflect the datasets loaded for the current deployment; verify against primary sources before citing in published work. ⚡ Grid Operations Radar (usage.html)
Live & historical grid data: EIA-930 hourly demand, generation, interchange, and fuel mix across 10 operators (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, TVA, BPA, FPL) via api.eia.gov, with 5-year collector CSVs. Interconnection queue: LBNL Queued Up 2026 Edition (data through end of 2025) — emp.lbl.gov/queues; ERCOT Q1 2026 interconnection report and Board materials (Dec 2025); PJM 2026 Long-Term Load Forecast. Costs & policy: LBNL PJM Interconnection Cost Analysis (Jan 2023) and non-ISO BA update (Feb 2026); FERC Order 2023 and Dec 2025 co-location order; Brattle "The Untapped Grid" (Mar 2026). Maps: HIFLD Open Data transmission lines (DHS/CISA), EIA-860M DER, ISO/RTO planning zones. Forecasts: persistence baselines (same-hour-yesterday / last-week / ensemble) with prediction intervals from real rolling error statistics — no fabricated series.
🏢 Compliance Monitor (violations.html)
Facilities: datacenter_complete.csv canonical dataset built by the datacenter.py pipeline from OSM Overpass, Baxtel, HIFLD, EIA-860, and FCC/Census geocoding, with county-assessor construction years for Northern Virginia. Compliance & emissions: NERC violation records, EPA ECHO, EPA eGRID subregion CO₂ factors, SEC EDGAR filings, state PUC dockets. Synthetic tier-based estimates are segregated into *_est columns and never mixed with sourced values.
🌍 International Grids (international.html)
Seven countries, each from its national operator's public API: Canada — IESO with EIA-930 fallbacks; Australia — AEMO NEMWeb dispatch; UK — Elexon BMRS and National Grid Carbon Intensity API; Ireland — EirGrid; Iceland — Orkustofnun and Landsvirkjun with Eurostat energy balances; Germany — SMARD.de (Bundesnetzagentur) quarter-hourly national + four TSO control areas, CO₂ intensity via Energy-Charts (Fraunhofer ISE); France — RTE éCO2mix via the ODRÉ open data platform. Every country section carries a LIVE/DEMO badge indicating whether loaded data came from a real collector run.
☢️ Nuclear Intelligence (nuclear.html)
US fleet map (94 operating reactors, 54 sites) with restarts, construction, and announced projects; live EIA-930 nuclear output; NRC regulatory timeline through 10 CFR Part 53 (effective Apr 2026) and 2025 executive orders. Indicative HALEU/LCOE/capex figures are labeled as such pending primary-source replacement. Nine date-stamped client-side exports available in the page's own Sources & Methods panel.
📍 DC Suitability (suitability.html) · ⛽ Fuel Divide (fuelstations.html) · 🏛️ PUC Records (puc.html) · 🌊 UDC Tracker (udc.html)
Suitability: all 3,144 US counties scored from Census, EIA, and grid-infrastructure inputs. Fuel Divide: NREL AFDC Station Locator (EV + hydrogen, point level), Census County Business Patterns NAICS 4471 gas establishments, optional OSM. PUC: registry of 52 commissions (50 states + DC + FERC) with 5-year meeting archives collected by puc.py into SQLite. UDC: subsea data-center inventory sourced from SZSE disclosures, SEC EDGAR, Crown Estate, BOEM, and NOAA records.
🔧 Shared Infrastructure
Single-file HTML deployments on AWS S3 + CloudFront with adjacent *_data.js files generated by Python collectors. AI research agents (Claude / Gemini) are grounded in the loaded datasets and instructed never to invent figures; agent responses are subject to verification against primary sources.
